This noise portal is an initiative of Sydney Airport, seeking to provide the community with information about aircraft operations into the future and the resulting noise impacts. Aircraft noise continues to be one of the most significant environmental issues for people living around airports or underneath or near flight paths. This site provides information on the causes of aircraft noise and the various organisations responsible for managing it.
Aviation activity at Sydney Airport is forecast to grow, as outlined in Master Plan 2039. This will support growth in employment and the broader economy, as well as support trade and tourism.
Sydney Airport works closely with the community, aviation industry and the Australian, NSW and Local Governments to manage and, where possible, minimise aircraft noise impacts.
